Collection: Shadow (Ghost) Chevrons - White or Black

Shadow chevrons blend in with a vehicle or motorcycle in the daytime and reflect a bright white at night.  Popular for police cruisers, utility vehicles and motorcycles.

Shadow / ghost chevron decals

Shadow chevrons (also called ghost chevrons) are reflective chevron stripes that appear dark or muted in daylight — black or grey — but light up brightly when struck by vehicle headlights at night. They give a fire apparatus or emergency vehicle a stealthier daytime appearance while preserving the full nighttime rear-visibility benefit of standard NFPA-style chevron striping.

These are typically used on apparatus where a department prefers the daytime look of a darker rear surface (modern command vehicles, plain-color trucks, units operating in residential neighborhoods where bright lime/red is visually intrusive). The reflective return at night is comparable to standard high-intensity prismatic chevron material.

Color and pattern requirements for emergency-vehicle chevron marking can vary by department policy and by NFPA recommendation — confirm specs with your apparatus committee before ordering. For traditional lime/red chevron material, see one-piece chevron panel kits.
