Fire truck rear with NFPA 1901 chevron panel

Reflective Inc. — The Visibility Company

In Business Since 1997. We are experts in reflective safety and visibility enhancement. Our company provides reflective tape, chevron panels, reflective shapes, and other reflective products to commercial, industrial, and residential customers. We carry a large variety of retro-reflective tapes in multiple sizes and colors, each with unique qualities to match the needs of your project or application. We stock our products and can ship quickly — primary shipping method is UPS, or USPS for residential.

What we do at Reflective Inc.

Reflective Inc. supplies retroreflective tape and visibility products to the United States — and beyond — from our facility in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Since 1997, we have been a single-point catalog for fleets, fire departments, contractors, DOT vendors, marine operators, school districts, sign shops, and the visibility-conscious public.

We carry the major manufacturers — 3M, Oralite (Orafol), and Nikkalite — across the full ASTM D4956 type range (Types 1 through 11), plus non-typed specialty films for DOT C2 conspicuity, NFPA 1901 chevron panels, FRA-224 rail cars, SOLAS marine equipment, ANSI/ISEA 107 garment trims, school-bus FMVSS marking, and photo-electric sensor applications. If a reflective material exists for a legitimate safety use, we probably stock it.

How to find what you need

Choose by category below — Standard Tape Rolls covers the everyday reflective films, Specialty Rolls covers the regulated and certified materials, Chevron Products covers fire-truck and emergency-vehicle striping, Reflective Shapes covers pre-cut decals and stickers, Garment Trims covers sew-on and heat-press materials for safety apparel.

If you're not sure which tape you need, three options. First, our FAQ page has 53 detailed answers covering the most common questions. Second, our Reflectivity AI Assistant can answer questions, explain compliance rules, and recommend specific products from our catalog. Third, call us at 850-934-3157 — we have been doing this since 1997 and we will help you pick before you buy.

Why people order from us

We stock the catalog. Orders typically ship the same business day, so a fire department waiting on chevron panels, a fleet manager outfitting trailers for DOT compliance, or a contractor finishing a job before the deadline does not have to wait days for material to arrive. We sell only genuine first-quality material from authorized manufacturers — never seconds, never knockoffs. And when stock products do not fit the job, we create custom shapes, printed reflective panels, and one-off solutions for industrial, fleet, and municipal customers.

A short guide to choosing the right reflective tape

There are three honest questions to ask before you pick a tape. Get them right and the catalog narrows itself.

1. What surface are you applying to?

Flat smooth surfaces accept any film. Curved surfaces — vehicle bumpers, traffic cones, helmets — need a conformable flexible film (Engineer Grade Flexible, Oralite V98). Rivets, seams, and rough surfaces need an air-egress conformable like Oralite 5650 Rapid Air, which molds around obstructions without trapping bubbles. The surface decides which films will actually stick and last.

2. How far away is the viewer, and from what angle?

Engineer Grade is enough for short-range visibility (a few hundred feet). For highway distances or wide-observation viewing angles, you need prismatic film — Type 4 or higher. Overhead signs need the widest observation angles, which means Type 9 or Type 11. The further and more off-axis the viewer, the brighter and wider-angle the tape needs to be.

3. What does the color need to communicate?

Each color has a conventional meaning in safety and traffic contexts — white for general roadway, red for stop or DOT trailers, yellow for caution, orange for work zones, green for guidance, lime-yellow for school zones and fire-truck chevrons. If your application is regulated (DOT C2, NFPA 1901, school bus, SOLAS), the color and pattern are specified by code. If it's not regulated, pick the color that tells the right story to the people who will be looking at it.
